MacKenzie Wilke holds a BSc (Hons) in Genetics and a MSc in Computational Biology from the University of Manitoba. Her work consists of combining genetics, computer science and statistics to bring meaningful biological results for all types of organisms (i.e. human, animal, bacteria, fungi, virus, etc). In her free time, she volunteers at Grant Memorial Baptist Church and mentors Canadian high school students in STEM careers.
Ayooluwa Bolaji, PhD is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba and a computational biologist at the National Microbiology Laboratory. A 2023 Public Health Agency of Canada award recipient, she mentors youth through LeadWithin at Mountain Of Fire & Miracles, Winnipeg. She enjoys research, mentorship, and cycling with her husband.
Tolu Bolaji is the Leader of Resource Policy Development in the Minerals, Petroleum, and Geoscience division of the Manitoba government. He has a background in Political Science and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Public Policy Analysis from the University of Regina, Saskatchewan. Mr. Bolaji is passionate about making a positive impact on future generations. He is a member of MFM Winnipeg and enjoys cycling and playing musical instruments.
My name is Jayeola Johnson Oluwatoyin, I am a Nigerian by nationality, I had my first degree and master's degree education at the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Nigeria, where I studied Industrial and Analytical Chemistry respectively. I have about a decade of industrial work experience as a Quality Control professional. I am also hands-on in Occupational Health and Safety. I currently live and work in Toronto, Canada. I am happily married and blessed with two children. My hobby is praying and studying the word of God. I am a team player with a can-do attitude. I respect every person irrespective of their background. I am always ready to learn and can work with little or no supervision.
Juwonlo Siyanbade is a Data Science Specialist at TheoryMesh, where he leads machine learning projects focused on food traceability and supply chain sustainability. Originally from Oyo State, Nigeria, Juwonlo's academic journey began with early achievements, including completing his secondary school certificate exams at age 14. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Bowen University and a Diploma in Data Science and Machine Learning from Red River College Polytechnic, Winnipeg, Canada.
As a mentor, Juwonlo is passionate about empowering mentees through hands-on learning and real-world applications. Outside of work, he enjoys soccer, baking, and volunteering at his local church.
